Yoga Pilates
A fusion of the anicent discipline of Yoga combined with modern Pilates techniques. The exercises mix both disciplines to develop core strength, breath work, help tone muscles, increase flexibility and reduce stress.
Chair Pilates Reformer

Chair Yoga
This gently challenging yoga, enables people of any age, shape or size to enjoy the benefits of yoga. Exercises include sitting in a chair for those who can not get up and down from the floor easily. These sessions are designed to include older adults and people, who may have injuries and medical conditions, to exercise, breathe, relax and meditate. The goal is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable.
Power Yoga (weights and ankle-weights: OPTIONAL)
Great for all levesl! Power Yoga is a vigorous fitness-based yoga, with an emphasis on strength and flexibility.
YOGA FIT 4 KIDS
With our partnership with Activate Elgin, we hope to activate your kids and teens at Optimum Health or at other locations! Our certified Kids Yoga Instructors will teach your kids and teens., ages 5-12 and 13-17.
A series of fun, child-like postures including breathing exercises practiced to acheive control of the body and mind. Additionally, one will learn through games, focus, self-esteem, team activities, creative thinking, and the importantance of "healthy eating."
Bollywood Dance
Bollywood is the informal name given to the popular Mumbai-based Hindi language film industry in India. Bollywood dancing is the foundation of every great Indian film. Songs typically comment on the action taking place in the movie. Song and dance play an integral role in the daily life of Indians. Bollywood dancing is absolute fantastic – it is energetic, graceful and expressive. It is a fusion of different dance styles from Indian classical to modern western dance. It also has influence of some jazz and hip-hop dance. It involves a lot of body movements, timing, rhythm and energy. It is easy to learn and fun to do.
Classical Indian Yoga Training - Level I (at Optimum Health)
The one-year Yoga teacher training is a Holistic Approach to yoga as a lifestyle. This personalized program will foster self-development and transformation, consciousness, affirming lifestyles and a deeply empowered experiential approach to living the practice of Yoga. It will enhance your personal growth and help you to develop a greater understanding of Yoga practice and theory. Yoga is both highly therapeutic and spiritually uplifting.
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING ENCOMPASSES: One-to-one mentoring, inner works of Yoga Core Stabilities, Mastery of the mind, Vital force, Meditation, Teaching Technique and Methodologies, Super Consciousness, the art and businesses of teaching, Yogic Anatomy, Patanjali 8 fold Path, Yoga Sutra Philosophy and Scriptures.
The Optimum Health teacher training program connects Yogic concepts to daily living so that you can be at your best through your stresses and challenges.
This course includes 500 + Hours Certification and is approved by the Yoga Institute of Bombay, India. This program meets and exceeds the requirements set forth by the Yoga Alliance.
Optimum Health has been commissioned by the Yoga Institute of Bombay, India, to train instructors and promote a unique system of teaching Yoga philosophy. Where there are several interpretations of Yoga philosophy to suit a Western culture, the essential tenants remain constant.
YOGA TEACHER TRAINING GUIDELINES: The goal is to help guide you, learn the skills necessary to practice yoga completely and to teach yoga effectively.
PHASE ONE: Develop a Daily Personal Yoga Routine.
PHASE TWO: Deepen practice through Teaching (Assisting in teaching is required of the program).
It include twelve attendance group workshops, twelve months of weekly attendance at a Yoga class I which the teacher trainee may assist as he/she develops skills; and sixty total pages of double-space written materials on yoga based on individual assignments given by the trainer. Monthly individual sessions are also included with trainer to develop a study plan and ensure that the teacher trainee develops a daily yoga practice.

PROGRAM FEE/DEPOSIT: The cost for the program is $3,000. Upon acceptance into the program a deposit of $1,000 (non-refundable) is required to hold your spot in the course.
Textbooks are required (estimated at $200), and $75.00 for class material.
